Outrage as Eddie Izzard Poses in Suit

Eddie Izzard outrages many by wearing man's suit

Comedian Eddie Izzard has outraged fans and critics alike by posing for a photograph in a gentleman’s business suit. The bad taste stunt was condemned by gender watchdogs after he abandoned his usual leather bodysuits, ballerina tutus, and chorus-girl basques in favour of a demur grey worsted suit. ‘This is outrageous,’ said one campaigner who refused to be named. ‘If men like him start to abandon glitzy dresses and sequins, then I’ll know that the world has gone truly mad!’

‘I felt like I wanted to dress like a man,’ explained a defiant Izzard. ‘I shouldn’t have to explain myself except it made me feel comfortable.’ The latest dress choice can come as no surprise to his fans. Izzard has a reputation for having an odd choice of clothes and was recently seen shopping for Y-fronts near his London home.

His choice, he has rights. I think he’s a smasher any way he dresses. Sometimes his shoes are less than sexie but I would love to………………………………………….?

  2. KC Says:

I think that as he said himself his humor and acting has nothing to do with his clothes. He wears what he feels like wearing. He is an executive transvestite not a F&^%$*G weirdo transvestite! LOL that was beautiful! He can wear what he wants and everyone should leave him alone… Go Eddie! Tell them all to BUGGER OFF!

  3. Mana Says:

That’s rediculous! It’s hardly anything to be outraged about! It really annoys me when people make a fuss about what clothes people wear, weather it’s men wearing women’s clothes, or men wearing men’s clothes!

No one should care! Not in a negative way, anyway!

Eddie can wear a dress, a suit or a wallpaper cape, as long as he chooses to. It’s got nothing to do with anyone else…

While I love the comment about the world going mad, and I agree that everyone should wear what they want (would be good for all kinds of businesses, too) you may be interested to know that Eddie didn’t pose in this suit. The image is a composite. Go to www.myspace.com/nikichanel to see the real Eddie.

  5. David Says:

A composite! My god! How could I have been so foolish as to post a fake picture on my site? I’m so grateful to you Niki for bringing this to my attention. Could you possibly spend five minutes checking out the rest of my site and seeing if I’ve posted any other fake pictures? Cheers.

By the way, would you agree with business men wearing nappies to work? A President dressing like a nun? Or the Queen of England opening Parliament in a large neon truss? Just wondering.

  6. Niki Says:

Dearest David, Go ez on urself. I didn’t see it at first either. The picture of Eddie in such a strict suit really did something to me…it would have been the farthest departure from his norm, to date. As an artist, this is a kind of ballsy genius and I just love that.

As for the nappies, how do you know they don’ wear them?

The president dressing like a nun? If you’re talking about the present pres., I don’t think the nun’s habit would like being worn by him!

Queen opening Parliment in neon - Mama, please I wanna see that! Cool Idea, David, but Eddie will always be my favourite. xoxo
