I think the fag ends make it though. I always thought that Shakespeare’s sonnets missed some fag ends and that T.S. Eliot would have been a better poet if only he’d left his manuscripts to stew on the floor of a men’s public toilets.

I love it. I was trying to speculate on the form of that poem and I see how unimaginative I am in comparison to darlin’ Pete.

So romance ain’t dead. It is on a toilet floor covered in fag ends.
