Iran Responds To US Wargames By Launching Newest Cruiser
Iran has launched its latest heavy battleship in response to the perceived hostile overtures of the United States who this week conducted wargames in the Persian Straight. In trails, the new ‘Redgrave’ class cruiser managed a top speed of five miles per hours, though this can be doubled if the heavy machine gun is firing in the right direction.
‘We want the Americans to know that we will not sit idly by should they attack us,’ said Admiral Harry Ahmadinejad of the Iranian Navy. ‘And next week we plan to launch a new type of pedalo powered by weighty English cricketers, successfully kidnapped from the West Indies by our Republican Guard this morning.’

I think that American political attitude towards the whole world actually sux, where’s that ‘Live and let live’ crap the America was high on ?
And here’s the logics of all that:
- We need more fuel (Russians won’t give it for free) -> occupy one Asian country that we think that won’t matter to no one
- Someone stood up for themselves -> dispatch newest ships that cost more than some Africa State’s yearly national income x 10, and destroy the damn ‘terrorists’ or what ever you fancy calling them
Oh BTW have you ever thought about that there are actually people dying there and you’re making fun of it AND YOU’RE PROUD OF YOURSELF FOR DOING SO ?! Or just neglecting the truth…
Anyway, what I wanted to say is that certain percent of Americans doesn’t think for themselves -> they let the media to do the same and then they support shit like war. Power to the peaceful!

Does not appear to be a heavy cruiser so my guess is that it is a pre-WWI class “light cruiser”…. and these are the people that we fear most.

I can’t believe the utter stupidity of some of the people who respond to these news artcles.
The war will not stop and it is truly illlogical to bring Russia in as a major supplier to the US.
The US has one choice and one choice only, become totally self reliant but we still will not be able to live in let live as you so aptly put it.
The US is constantly underattack somewhere in the world and those who aren’t attacking us, have their hands out for military support.
There comes responsibility with being the most powerful nation in the world.
One of which is to attempt to maintain world peace but as most of you know, you can not do anything but defend yourselves against terrorism, they will not stop because of their radical beleifs, just like the Japanese pilots did in WW2.
Stand for this country and it’s principles or go live with the radicals.

I’m somewhat confused….possibly due to 20 yrs in the USAF…regarding the British view of force projection. If their Navy cn’t even protect itsel ITSELF from the nautical equivalent of a car jacking, do we really believe they can enforce an embargo of nuclear materials?

we had a hot summer here in Lebanon. The war between israel and hezbollah was supposed to end in 2-3 days. It took 33 days and ended up with a strategic defeat to israel by hezbollah despite the israeli supperriority in weapons. People in Lebanon fought for their land and their freedom.
The main question of who will win the war between Iran and the US becomes clear if we know who is bullying and arrogant and who is defending his right and his nation. The weapon is more lethal if you are on the right side.
